A red lip is something I have recently latched on to as a staple beauty bag must have. My fairly new obsession with this look has left me using any excuse to wear it!
A clean and clear base is so helpful when applying makeup. You guys often ask what I do for my skin, and I keep things very simple. Cleanse + moisturize. Done. But, before getting ready for a night out, I love to prep my skin with a mask. My new favourite are by Melbourne based brand Skintox. They have an amazing range that I have tried all myself, and the are truly such a treat for the skin. Working to replenish the moisture that is so often sacrificed in the colder season. #musthave
Apply a layer of your favourite foundation to cover any redness or imperfections. For the rest of the skin, I love cream products, as it allows for such a dewy finish. I use a contour stick to apply some product under my cheekbones and blend out with a sponge.
My go to eye for the evening is forever a bronzed look. I achieve this by applying a deep chocolate brown in the crease of my lid, and also under the lower lash line. I blend it out with a fluffy brush so the edges are smooth. I then pat a slightly shimmery shadow in the centre of my lid for depth. And finish off by tight lining my eyes with a black liner. (I love how this gives the affect of thicker lashes.)
My favourite element of this makeup look is the red lip! Start by making sure they are well moisturised to avoid any dry patches. I line them (shaky hands not welcome) to make sure the lip lasts all night. After applying your lipstick of choice, (I have gone for Stilla Liquid Lipstick in the shade Bae.) Clean up any mistakes with concealer and a brush.
Done, let’s go!
